I am Sivakumar Balasubramanian, Professor and Head of Bioengineering at the Christian Medical College Vellore. I have been with the department since August 2014. I also have an affiliation with the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The University of Queensland as an Honorary Associate Professor from Jan 2023.
My main research interests are in: (a) the development and validation of tools and training methods for delivering neurorehabilitation, (b) quantitative human movement analysis, and (c) precision neurorehabilitation.
I enjoy teaching. My current teaching interests are in neuromechanics, linear systems theory, and probability & statistics.
